JQuery Expert Needed To Complete UI Enhancements For Website

I'm in need of a jQuery/Javascript expert who can assist me with the completion of two interface elements for a WordPress website.
1) integrate and customize carousel gallery ui with Nexgen Gallery for WordPress.
2) add easing effect to navigation dropdown menu.
This project is based in WordPress using the Thesis Theme Framework and the NextGen Gallery plugin.
Knowledge of NextGen and Thesis would be helpful.
You'll need to be able to pick up where previous developer left off to complete the required functionality.
The attached screen shot shows the gallery as it is right now. There are four visible thumbnails with reduced opacity. Hover fades to full opacity. Prev/Next buttons should increment thumbnails by 4. Carousel should accommodate unlimited images per the core functionality of the NextGen plugin. Clicking on a thumbnail will throw a lightbox displaying large image along with caption and prev/next buttons.
refer to the examples on the link below for the general idea of what I need. The carousel code from this site is what is currently being used for my site. I'm not opposed to using a different approach, but since the code on my site is nearly complete, it might easier to use whats here.
