    DO NOT PAY A MILESTONE BEFORE HAND WHEN HE REQUESTS IT. GAVE HIM 5 HOURS PAY TO GET STARTED AS REQUESTED, RECEIVED JACK!Been 3 weeks now since it was due.     Matt worked to the brief, but with his knowledge of Filemaker he was able to take the database to a whole new level by using scripts and adding functions. I am in the UK and Matt is in Australia but the time difference was not an issue. Will use again as the database grows. Highly recommend.

    I have an existing database in Filemaker Pro 12 that I want some changes made to our reports. We a re a membership organisation that collect payments and pay commission on those payments. I need the following done;- link the commissions to the member - currently only linked to sales person. ie I can see salesman Jim had $100 commission but I want to know which members that comes from and what group over April- Modify Sales Report to show new members by Group; and new members by group and salesman- Attendance report - currently shows all groups, we want to search by single groups- Payments - we need to review how we record payments and modify to accommodate total value of membership and monthly payments eg Membership is $100 paid in lump sum or 10 payments of $10.     I have been developing a commercial real estate enterprise software solution using FileMaker to manage every aspect of my commercial real estate services business. This includes commission management, property database, contacts, assets, property management issues, sign management, proposal generation, transaction management and more. I do not have the time to continue development and since I am not a professional developer it is obviously taking me far too long. I am struggling to complete the project when I get bogged down in programming basic functionality that I am certain is not unique to my application. Virtually all my record/data entry layouts have been created, although I have not yet optimized their design. What is still needed is some core entry steps such as cascading data entry screens (e.g., when entering a prospective tenant the contact layout screen must open to see if the contact is in the database, if not he/she needs to be added, then cascading to add the company, cascading to add the address record, etc.)It is not possible to share the details of this project in a brief email. If there is an interest in pursuing then perhaps after determining the capabilities of the Freelancer we could follow up with a webex to review the project online in realtime. That should be a reasonable process to ensure all parties understand the scope and commitment.

    We are in need of a few scripts/custom functions for FileMaker that will assist us in completing our sign inventory application. The scripts/custom functions will need to work on a tablet using FileMaker Go. Here’s the 3 things we need help with…Select from a catalog:A script/custom function that will allow the user to go from our “sign inventory” layout to a “catalog of sign types” screen and select a sign from a tabbed series of thumbnail images with titles. Each entry in the catalog will have many associated fields, some of which contain default info to be passed to the sign inventory. When a thumbnail is chosen, a popup will alert the user if some data in the sign inventory is about to be overwritten – giving him the choice of aborting, replacing all data or replacing only blank fields.Attach photo:A script/custom function that will allow the user to use the built-in camera on a tablet to take a picture of a sign and display it on the “signs” layout. The script/custom function will start from the “signs” layout with the selection of a button and switch to the camera interface. Once the picture is taken the user should have the option to use the picture or take another. After the desired picture is obtained the user is taken back to the “signs” layout and the picture is stored with the associated sign inventory record. The default location of the stored picture(s) needs to be able to be changed. (not sure – on apples you really don’t see the location anyway)GPS coordinates:A script/custom function that will allow the user to use a web based mapping program within a portal and get the GPS coordinates of a selected point. The map should follow the current location during the assessment. A button will start the process in which the user will select the location on a map and the coordinates will be transferred to the appropriate fields. The data should be in Latitude/Longitude format with the ability to show State Plane coordinates in another set of fields. The data will be shown on the “sign post” layout. We will definitely need interaction with a map to place the sign posts – the GPS accuracy of the mobile devices is not good enough to use corrdinates directly from the device.We are currently using FM11 but can upgrade to FM12 if essential to the operation of the application.
