I have 25 years as a Mechanical Design Engineer with industrial and consumer products. My past Manufacturing Engineering positions has been very helpful to design for the best process and ease of assembly. I have used Solidworks almost daily since 1999. SolidWorks can import/export all industry standard formats such as SLT, STEP, IGES, 2D and 3D DXF (AutoCad) and much more. I typically model not just the parts but also the assembly and create 2D drawings for manufacturing. Very skilled with proper material selection for the application. More than half of the projects envolved injection molded plastic with mechanical modeling of PCBA's, mechanisms, user interfaces and much more. Also very familiar with machining operations and how to design for them. I have extensive experience with prototyping, vendor selection and interaction.
