I'm a PhD student currently on a temporary break from my studies. My area of research combines image processing and pattern recognition. I've been living the UK for most of the last ten years. Currently I'm in India. I'm a fairly good programmer in various languages/environments, including MATLAB, C, C++, Objective-C, etc. I'm also interested in functional programming using Haskell. I've taken an interest in iPhone/iPad programming and am hoping to land a few freelance jobs in that area. I'm also quite interested in the Arabic language, and have experience translating books from Arabic to English.
