Contest Brief

I want you to design me a good logo for my web application. The application is called "SemEx", which stands for "SEM explorer." Don't worry about what "SEM" means - it's just an app for searching and viewing data.

My initial idea for the logo is to look like the FedEx logo (see attached), but don't just copy it - get creative. Use a more interesting font, maybe put in a magnifying glass (for the "explorer" part - see attached). Feel free to explore the "explorer" or "data" themes for idea. I don't care about specific colours.
