Contest Brief
We are after a refresh of the packaging for our herbal detox product - 5 Point Detox.
5 Point Detox is a liquid herbal tonic that acts as an internal cleanse. The 5 ‘points’ or areas it works on are:
1. LIVER
2. KIDNEYS
3. DIGESTION
4. CONSTIPATION
5. PARASITES
The packaging was redesigned a year ago and we now believe that we missed the mark with it in a number of ways:
1. Does not convey the what the product is – natural herbal detox product
2. Does not convey the promise of the product – to make you healthier
3. Is too complex and wordy– it needs to be understood by a consumer who cannot read English
4. Does not convey the strengths of the product – simple to take, fast acting, liquid herbal tonic.
5. We would like to infer weight loss (the consumer will loss 2-4 kilos in the first week but we can't claim weight loss due to strict regulations.)
WHAT WE NEED:
Packaging redesign.
1. FRONT & BACK DISPLAY PANELS
1. Graphical display of the 5 Points (remove the text)
2. Only wording on the panel to be logo, ‘Herbal detox tonic’, ‘16 day course’, ‘oral liquid’, ‘500ml’, ‘AUSTL260522’
3. Australian made and Vegan logos to remain.
4. New colour scheme is OK
5. New 5 POINT DETOX logo is OK
6. May include our catch-cry ‘Time to Detox?’. This is our unique TM so would like to build on it.
2. INGREDIENT SIDE PANEL
1. All wording to remain the same.
2. You may change the font and formatting
3. ‘The simple detox’ may be re/moved
3. DESCRIPTIVE SIDE PANEL
1. Incorporate the 5 Point graphics used in front panel
2. Barcode and below to remain the same
3. You may change the font and formatting
4. ‘Time to Detox?’ may be re/moved
4. GENERAL DESIGN FEEL
We are looking for a design that:
1. is simple
2. eye catching
3. is easy to read
4. Easy for the consumer to understand
5. conveys the promise of the product – to make you healthier in a simple way
6. conveys what the product is – natural herbal detox product
7. needs to be understood by a consumer who cannot read English
8. conveys the strengths of the product – simple to take, fast acting, liquid herbal tonic.
9. infers weight loss
10. targets both male and female consumers
11. has a strong emotive fit with the consumer’s need-state – ‘I need to be healthier and would like to lose some weight’
12. the product is a registered complementary medicine so we would like it to convey a high quality feel about it.
