Footer background color is white and provided a shadow to avoid blending. Removed pin counter. Provided a background for teachers name and unpin button so that it will differentiate from table content. Row height is increased.

I think if footer is colored viewer will more concentrated towards footer other than main content of website because overall UI is white. But i can make it colored to get an idea.

It looks a bit cleaner. Do you think the footer looks better this way or colored? The teacher's name still looks a bit out of place. It can be removed entirely if you can't find a good place to put it. The unpin button will need to moved around then too.
