Contest Brief

We're looking for someone to design a logo for a UK residential landlord services company called The Landlord Shop. Our strap line is "Home of Landlord Services" though this doesn't have to appear on a logo but I would like to see ideas with and without.

We supply services to landlords such as, gas safety certificates, electrical reports, energy performance certificates and more for home owners who rent their properties to tenants.

Preferably the logo needs to be landscape but this isn't essential. Colour schemes are flexible as the new web site is still under construction.

This needs to be a corporate style logo. Clear and bold as it will appear on the usual stuff like websites etc but will also be embroidered onto t-shirts, so can't be too fiddly and complex.

Final design needs to be high enough resolution for print work at a decent size. Vector ideally but high res jpg is fine for non-text parts, if necessary.

The obvious choice for the graphical part of the logo would be something to do with a house. We're open to other ideas but that's the logical choice for the type of company.

We have been looking at general colours and fonts that the web site may be built in and the following web link shows some colours (green/blue/red) that I would like to see some of the rated logos duplicated in if it is no trouble?

Hi all. Thanks again. General feedback is that we have nothing to do with the countryside but there are a lot of countryside themed hills / meadows etc.

We need to see designs on a white background.

We have a slight preference for thicker text than the highly rated designs but they were the more interesting concepts, hence getting a better rating.

To confirm what it is we do, we issue certificates to state that houses are in good working order, for people to rent them out. Essentially so the landlords comply with the laws or renting out a property. We do not do maintenance on houses.
