Contest Brief

We are developing EZFinance, an AI-driven web application designed to provide financial insights and recommendations specifically for solopreneurs and small businesses. The application will analyze data based on local Quebec fiscal laws, user-input business context, and other relevant data sources to deliver personalized financial advice and visual data representations. We've attached a screenshot of the MVP application as inspiration.

Core UI Components:

- Sidebar Navigation: A collapsible sidebar on the left, featuring navigation links for conversation history, user profile, settings, and other administrative functionalities. This sidebar should offer a streamlined, intuitive access point to the various sections of the app, enhancing the user experience by being minimally intrusive.

- Chat Interface: The central feature is a ChatGPT-inspired chat interface, facilitating a conversational interaction between the user and the AI. This interface should mimic modern messaging applications, with distinct bubble colors for user inputs and AI responses. Chat bubbles should be aligned to the left or right based on the sender, ensuring a natural and easy-to-follow conversation flow.

- Data Visualization Area: A dynamic section designed to display AI-generated data in various formats, such as bar charts and pie charts, based on the context of the conversation. This area should be adaptable and seamlessly integrate into the conversation flow, providing users with visual insights that complement the textual advice.

- Fiscal Recommendations Section: A dedicated area for AI-generated fiscal recommendations, crucial for the target user base. Recommendations should be presented in an easy-to-navigate, collapsible accordion style, allowing users to explore detailed advice at their own pace. This section should prioritize clarity and actionable insights, enabling users to make informed financial decisions.

Design Considerations:

- User Experience (UX): The design must prioritize ease of use, with a clean and intuitive layout that guides users through the application's features without overwhelming them. Attention to detail in the conversational UI's responsiveness and the data visualization's clarity will be key to a successful user experience.

- Aesthetic Appeal: While functionality is paramount, the visual design should not be overlooked. The application should have a professional, modern aesthetic that appeals to its target demographic of solopreneurs and small businesses. Consistent use of color, typography, and spacing will contribute to a cohesive and engaging interface.

- Adaptability and Scalability: Considering the dynamic nature of fiscal laws and business environments, the design should be flexible enough to accommodate updates and new features. Scalability is crucial as the user base grows and diversifies.
