Contest Brief

Our application is used for online approval of business expenses, holidays, travel requirements, purchases and many other business processes.

Our target market will be small and medium companies - owners, sales people, managers, team leaders etc

We want to highlight how easy our application is to use, easy to get started, reliable and trustworthy.

We want a clean uncluttered interface. Typical exaples of usage of the application will be:
* an employee has some form of request that needs to be approved by a manager - eg request for holiday leave - they fill in the details, put the emails address of their manager - and it sends them a link and the manager gets it - and decides to approve or reject. this is then recorded for history. and can always be accessed by both parts.
* a sales person receives a phone call email from a client asking for a delivery - the sales person fills int he details and the clients email - and the client records their agreement - and the records of it are available for both parties.

very simple - but the key selling point is - instant sign up, reliable proof of acceptance, long term record keeping, never lose key approvals and decisions in too much email.

The application will be called 'Appruvr'

We require a logo that can be used on an online application - built using twitter bootstrap components..

The online application will feature responsive design and be viewable/usable on mobile devices so that logo must also work on a mobile device (or a suitable version provided).

Our first thought is that the background color of the application will be white - so the logo will need to work on a white background - however we will consider alternatives.

For the contest phase - we will use images such as logo, page design etc - using lorem ipsum text etc

Once we select the winner - we require the winner to deliver

Deliverables
* Logo
* Mobile Logo
* PSD source files
* email template that includes layout, application links and can be used for notification emails from the application as well as a starting point for marketing emails.
* Simple 4 page website (this is not a working app - just static content used for designing and styling the application) with Twitter Bootstrap compatible CSS style sheets.

    Hi Everyone
    We're down to the last day of the contest and we've narrowed the field down to 2 outstanding entries. I am sure when the winner is revealed you will all be impressed no matter which one is chosen.
    To clarify the process, I have rejected all but these two entries - thanks to everyone of those rejected for taking the time to submit an entry.

    Our preference is for a standalone graphic logo - that can be represented more closely to a square that can be used for application icon, fit into buttons etc.
    Combining a logo and a word - so that they can be used separately is an option - but a single word - or variation on font just writing APPRUVR is not what we're after
    Thanks

      Breaking the process into the three steps
      1) contestants pitch the idea - at least a logo, but perhaps a logo, and maybe an example of a page how the logo, colors and styling might look.
      2) select the winner from the entries based on this small part of the content
      3) produce usable design elements based on the idea that can be then used in future work - style sheets, logo + psd, 4 page examples

      the reason for this - is it makes the implementation of the design more consistent - rather than just a logo and then get someone else to interpret how it might be used in a page or actual content.

      The 4 pages are just static HTML to show how the style sheets can be applied.

      The 4 pages could be done in a HTML5 mockup tool like https://jetstrap.com/
