Contest Brief
For this project, you'll be creating a design that will be used for screen-printing on apparel as well as turning into a repeating design for fabric.
I'm looking for a talented designer who loves horror movies to design a set of 8 simplified, stylized pumpkins where the "faces" of the pumpkins are simplified versions of the "Faces of Horror" characters, including:
1. Freddy Krueger
2. Jason
3. Ghost Face (from Scream)
4. Michael Myers
5. Jigsaw (from Saw)
6. Pennywise (from IT)
7. Beetlejuice
8. Sam from Trick R Treat (with the hood/bag on his head)
9. Jack Skellington
ALL DESIGNS MUST BE UNIQUE. ANY REFERENCES IN THIS PROJECT ARE SOLELY FOR EXAMPLE, AND ALL WORK MUST BE ORIGINAL.
** TO BE CONSIDERED, YOUR ENTRY MUST INCLUDE ALL 9 PUMPKIN HEAD CHARACTERS.
STYLE:
The pumpkins and faces should be flat, vector, simplified designs. These are going to be screen printed on fabrics and apparel, so each must have a maximum of 3 colors. I'm looking for illustrated, graphic designs – so more flat and cartoonic rather than photo-realistic.
The pumpkins should be isolated on a transparent background. You're designing 9 individual pumpkins here, each in a different shape and each with one of the Faces Of Horror from the list above.
The faces on these pumpkins are meant to be stylized, where they're just the faces – not the outlines of the whole head, just faces on the pumpkins.
Basically, I'd like pumpkin silhouettes in various shapes (unique to the face on them), designed in a way where the shape, size, and style fits the Horror Icon it's depicting. I'd like the shape of the pumpkin to correlate to the face on it – example, the Jack Skellington pumpkin would be shorter and squattier, while the pumpkin with the Ghost Face/Scream face would be taller and thinner. Each pumpkin should LOOK different in terms of shape, size, and the vines on the top of the pumpkin. For example, Pennywise The Clown (from IT) could have a vine/leaves on the top of the pumpkin to resemble his hair... The Sam From Trick R Treat pumpkin could have vines under the pumpkin to represent the bag on his head... Etc.
Attached are a few references to show some examples of various pumpkin shapes and faces, as well as some character ideas.
Here are a couple other references – NOT TO BE COPIED, but to show you examples of simplified, stylized graphics that would work well on the pumpkins:

COLORS:
The pumpkins should be orange of course, and since they'll be screen-printed, I'd like the colors at a minimum... Not more than 2 shades of orange on the pumpkins, and preferable the face 'cut out' of the pumpkin in black.
The important thing is to keep it simple so it's more stylized, and functionally can translate well to a graphic design print – like on a shirt or fabric.
FILES:
I'd like these to be vector files so they can scale to any dimensions.
