We are looking for an illustration in the style of Japanese Anime. We are creating a Visual Novel with anthropomorphized Dogs as protagonists. We'd like the style of art to have a similar feel as the Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (Silver Fang) series. I've added a link in reference to the style of Silver Fang. Please do not submit Kemonomimi etc; we'd like the illustrations to look like dogs, not like people.

The image we'd like you to illustrate is two dogs facing each other, each adopting an aggressive stance as if they are about to fight. Additionally, if the illustration could show that they are circling each other that would be best. The scene is taking place indoors in a kennel/ dog pound. The dogs should be close together, with both their faces visible. The perspective should be just slightly above the dogs, looking down. We'd like the background of the illustration to be blue/dark and the general mood of the illustration should be dark and ominous.

The dog on the left would be a White Siberian Husky (picture for reference to the dog breed). His name is Shiro in our Visual Novel.

The dog on the right would be an English Bulldog (picture for reference to the dog breed). His name is Duke in our visual novel. He should be fat/overweight. In this scene Shiro should appear angry and determined and Duke should appear amused and cocky.

Some background: Shiro is the hero. Shiro has been stolen from his owners by a greedy kennel owner who wants to sell him since he is a rare and valuable breed. Duke is the spoiled favorite of the Kennel owner and acts as a 'prison guard' of sorts for the dogs that the Kennel owner captures and illegally sells.

We are looking for an artist that we can continue to work with to create our visual novel beyond this initial illustration. There are many other sprites, backgrounds, and illustrations that we'd like to commission for this work and we would like to maintain a consistent style throughout the Novel.

Q: Will there be more work after this initial contract since you are making a Visual Novel?
A: YES! We want to work with the winner in order to create our visual novel, there will be many more sprites, backgrounds, and illustrations we'd like to commission

Q: Should the dogs be on 2 legs or 4 legs?
A: The dogs should be on 4 legs

Q: What emotions should be in the picture?
A: Above all, the picture should show DANGER between the two characters

Q: Do you plan to keep the contest open the entire time?
A: YES! We will not close the contest until the very end

Q: What resolution would you like?
A: 72DPI will be fine since this is for a screen

Q: what should the orientation of the portrait be?
A: We are looking for a horizontal landscape portrait

Q: What kind of coloring style are you looking for?
A: we'd like the coloring to be cell shaded but not too heavily so. We want to maintain an anime style.

Due the contest is almost finish i only shared the model sheets and sketches so you can say me if you like the characters and need to be improved somehow or not, so i can proceed to digitize them, i also attach one of my draws and you have an idea of how is going to be the shading, is that the style you are looking for?

By the way im working on the background right now, but i have a question do you want it to be diffuse like in anime/manga (https://www.cineseries-mag.fr/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/princess-mononoke-Hayao-Miyazaki-animation.jpg ) or need to be much more detailed?
Waiting for your answer, you can also extend a little if you can if you dont i will work faster as i can.

A few questions, if you don't mind: Is Duke a true villain? Does Duke (or Shiro) think that he will easily win in this battle? Physical state - no fatigue, no wounds?

  Duke is spoiled and fat, he is the favorite of the man who owns the kennel (think of a villian like Joffrey from Game of Thrones). Shiro is an all white husky, lean and medium sized.
