Contest Brief
Hello everyone! We are searching for creative and exceptional designers to create exquisite foil stamping patterns for our journal covers. This contest consists of two series: Nautical Elements and Popular European and American Animal Elements. Each series requires the design of 5 different journal covers. （Total 10 designs）
Task Requirements:
1. Nautical/ Map Elements Series: In this series, we would like to incorporate nautical /map elements such as the ocean, compass, ships, world map, and maritime map into the designs. (Please refer to the attached image for specific design elements.) The patterns should be minimalist and linear, suitable for foil stamping printing processing. You have the freedom to showcase your creativity and freely design the cover layout.
2. Animal Elements Series: This series focuses on the most popular European and American animals, such as wolves, lions, and eagles. (Please refer to the attached image for specific design elements.) You can create designs that reflect the characteristics and charm of these animals, portraying their strength and allure. The patterns should be minimalist and linear, suitable for foil stamping printing processing. You have the freedom to showcase your creativity and freely design the cover layout.
Background Color: There are no limitations on the background color of the covers. You can choose appropriate monochromatic background colors based on the patterns and elements.
In addition, we kindly request that the overall design style has a neutral and vintage aesthetic. Attached are some design ideas for your reference, primarily focusing on minimalist line work that can be used for foil stamping on leather journals.
To assist you, we have provided an image of the unfolded notebook and a mock-up, which you can use to design the cover.
