Contest Brief

I am on the Board of a local sports organization called Fletcher's Fields. url is www.fletchersfields.ca but the site is down right now while we redesign it. I need a logo for it. Right now it is used primarily for rugby but we are trying to get it to appeal to a wider audience. In brief, it is in the suburbs of Toronto and has 6 fields on 22 acres with a clubhouse. We have frisbee and soccer there and hve even had a couple of picnics for companies and a mosque.

The audience is any sports organization with a secondary audience in companies for field rentals. The logo should have nothing to do with rugby.

We're competing with local authorities and municipal governments so nothing too out there in terms of logo and let's avoid greens in the logo if possible! I'm also not a big fan of cliched swooshes. Nike did it, now we need to move on.

I'm not hung up on an icon, if you think it will work better as a typography only design then that is ok.
