PROJECT:

I'm looking for two music jingles to form a short Intro and Outro for an educational cartoon series.
Attached with this contest you will find a video file to which you need to compose your contest entry.

Currently the video series uses a licensed music track (included in the video for illustration and reference). I selected the piece and I do like. But I´m going non-profit and looking for creative ways to distribute the videos, so I want to own the necessary rights to everything used in the series in order to be completely free.

Instrumentation: a quick Base or Piano line might suit this project well. If you can convince me with something else, go ahead.

CONDITIONS for entering this contest:
The composer transfers non-exclusive rights of the music to kathmedia. This means two things:
1 - the composer may use / sell to others / or build on his composition after winning the contest. It is understood that any such further use cannot involve an exclusive transfer of rights to third parties
2 - kathmedia acquires the right to use, alter and distribute the composition for an unlimited time / with unlimited copies (digital or physical) in any present or future form of media including broadcasting rights online or otherwise / without geographic limitations / without any additional payment or royalties (over and above the amount specified by this contest on freelancer).

The composer will be credited in the end credits when the composition is used. A written, undersigned contract releasing the rights according to the above agreement will be provided by the freelancer within three weeks of winning the contest. The sending of the contract may take the form of an electronic or traditional mailing (e.g. digitally signed PDF-document or letter).

I asked freelancer about audio uploads, but they say audio files cannot be uploaded in a contest - seems strange, but so it is. Apparently they allow video, so if this in fact works, then you could pair your audio with the video provided. Alternatively you can point to an external link as some of you have already done.
