Contest Brief

Calling Graphic Designers.

I am having a really hard time finding a good graphic designer. I have tried so many and they promise that they'll get me the designs by a certain time and they NEVER DO!

When they finally arrive they are not very good so I'm not prepared to go through the process again of funding someone and then having to cancel. I am so surprised that I'm having this sort of difficulty when there are so many designers out there.

So now I'm going to hold a contest but ..... I'm not going to guarantee it. I can only assure you that I will definitely pay someone if they produce the results. Once I find someone, I have a lot more work for them to do as we have just started a business and have many graphic design projects. (Please note: I have now chosen to guarantee this job after finding out from a participant in the contest that many employers do not pay when the job is not guaranteed. I would like you to be reassured that I am genuine.)

I am using this contest to find someone good who will keep their word and produce good work.

I am posting a simple job to begin with to try and find the right person.

It's an easy job (that is what I believe anyway) I have created a logo for our new business and I am happy with the basic design. I like everything about the logo apart from the fact that I think it should have more 'depth'. Being design people, I'm confident you will know what I mean. I imagine that some shading or reflection or something else will give it a more professional and 3D look which is what I'm after. It doesn't need much change.

Please remember that If I like your work, I have a number of connecting businesses I will be starting too that will complement this business and would give you even more work.

I can assure you that I am sincere and keen to find someone who keeps their word and has talent.

Hello everyone. I would like to thank you all for contributing to this contest. There is not long to go now so I would like to clarify the things that I like. I like the ribbon look on the map with a gentle gradient used to create a realistic lighting effect. I like a realistic shadow placed under the Tasmanian devil (the animal in the logo). No one has really been able to produce the subtle gradient of lighting in the words themselves. If I cannot find anyone can produce the subtle and realistic lighting effect in the words, then I will be awarding the contest to the person who can produce the most effective and realistic ribbon effect on the map. The other effect I like is the logo carved into wood but the background must not distract from the logo itself. Thank you

  I am content with the colours but am happy to see options if you think others could work better. Here in Tasmania, our environment is a feature for tourism. I used colours that would work well with the website I am having built. The colours need to reflect the wilderness areas of Tasmania. I will post some photos on the brief that show the scenery we have in Tasmania. Thank you for your question

Hi, Can you please make the contest #guaranteed ?? I understand you have had bad experiences with people in the past - But the point of a contest is to see a verierty of different designs and the winner wins the *contest* Posting a contest without guarenteeing the $20 prize won't drawl much attention - As there are also a huge amount of employers that never pay on this site - No disrespect at all, Just my opinion :)
