PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES HTML: We are well vested in HTML, and we are familiar with almost every tag that HTML has. JAVASCRIPT: I know how to utilize Java Script’s capability to interact with the user, I have used JavaScript together with PHP and HTML so as to come up with a powerful application. CSS: I always use inline CSS to develop an eye-catching layout web page. I am very familiar with all CSS techniques; such as internal and external link CSS. PHP/MySQL: I have used PHP and MySQL to develop a real estate website, a car sales website, a classifieds website, a penpals website, and also minor applications. I am experienced in database manipulation with PHP and MySQL as well as writing to txt files with PHP. SOFTWARES. FIREWORKS: I use fireworks on most of my images and whenever I need to create buttons or animated image gif images. I also use it to create simple graphics, edit and resize images. DREAMWEAVER: This is not my first preference software when it comes to developing websites. I usually use Notepad, since in an experienced web programmer. However, I have used dreamweaver to change the layout of a page, change page colours, insert flash buttons, insert and edit image properties, etc. I have also used it to validate HTML forms and to set up simple JavaScript applications that dreamweaver is shipped with. I am also familiar with Microsoft’s FrontPage, but I rarely use it since dreamweaver is far much better than it. SELTECO FLASH DESIGNER: This is software that I use to design eye-catching flash animations. The software is not as powerful as macromedia flash, but its handy when one wants to design a perfect flash animation quickly. SPECIALIZATION Meta tags: Since some of the most popular search engines, such as www.hotbot.com and www.exite.com are meta tag search engines, this made me more keen to research further about meta tags, and enhancing a search engine friendly web pages. Search Engine Optimisation: This is the technique to promote the ranking of a website on search engines. I have used this technique, and it has seen my website being ranked in the top 10 on google for keyword “African Business Directory”. Internet Marketing Strategies: My website (www.mansheb.co.zw/directory.html) has seen more than 600 websites being submitted from different parts of the world. This was mainly due to the way I promoted my online business directory. My online penpals website (www.mansheb.5gigs.com) has more than 200 subscribers, from different countries. This was also due to the extensive knowledge I have upon Internet Marketing Strategies. I have designed more than websites since I began designing websites, of which 3 of them are from UK, 1 from South Africa and the rest from different places of Zimbabwe. I managed to get these clients; mainly because of the extensive way I exercised Internet marketing to promote my web design services. MAJOR PROJECTS RECENTLY TAKEN Mansheb Portal: This is a portal website I have designed. The website strives to cater for the needs of everyone by offering a number of services for free. The portal is meant to bring a remarkable challenge to well established Zimbabwean portals and web design companies. Mansheb Portal is divided into the following departments: MOU: Mansheb Online University is meant to cater for the needs of all students. It provides online career guidance, online past exam papers for various subjects/levels, online extra lessons and revision notes for O and A-Level subjects as well as a facility for prospective students to apply for enrollment at most universities throughout the world. (http://www.mou.co.zw) Jobs 4 Africa: This is my online employment agency, which is meant to bring employers and job seekers together. The website allows employers to register and post their jobs for the specific penpals and send them emails through the website (http://www.mansheb.co.zw/jobs.html) Mansheb Penpals: This website currently has about 200 subscribers who all registered for free. It allows people to register for free then search for specific penpals and send them emails through the website (http://www.manshebpenpals.biz.tm) African Business Directory: This directory is meant to help companies and organisations that wish to do business in Africa or with Africans. More than 600 websites have been submitted by organisations from different parts of the world. (http://www.mansheb.co.zw/classifieds) Lazyworld Classifieds: This website enables all organisations and individuals to market and sale their products online. An organisation can post any number of adverts, but I can delete all unscrupulous adverts through the Admin panel, which is username and password protected. (http://www.lazyworld.net) AFM Pre-designed websites: This website enables people to buy/rent websites that have been designed already. Currently the website is selling a car sales website, a real estate website, a penpals website, and a classifieds website, and all these websites are PHP/MySQL based websites (http://www.afm.co.zw) Newsletter Software: This software helps organisations to run a powerful newsletter/mailing list. It allows people to subscribe for a specific newsletter/group, and when the administrator sends an email to members of that newsletter/group, everyone who subscribed to that group will receive the email.
