Learning English from the ground up and going back and forth between countries, I’ve developed a very analytical approach to understanding both Russian and English. I have an A* in both GCSE and A-level Russian Language and often translate for relatives and friends, in all degrees of formality - be it a casual conversation, or an important document. Working at a language school, (teaching art and Russian), I had to adapt my approach and communication for children with special needs, varying ages (3-13), and linguistic abilities. I have plenty of patience, despite my meticulous attention to detail. If you can explain something to a group of 3-4 year-olds, you know you can really break things down for anyone. I achieved an 8 (A*) in Biology at GCSE, and an A at A-level. At present, I study Biology at the University of Nottingham, where I use technical and scientific language extensively for my assignments. Hence, I am no stranger to scientific academic writing and technical terminology. In addition, I had a year-long placement as a product development scientist in consumer healthcare at Haleon (former GSK), which deepened my scientific understanding. I would love to share my knowledge, as well as help with any assignments. My artistic abilities have been developed from the tender age of 1, as my mother was a multi-talented artist. I have attended a school of fine arts in Moscow, where the approach to art is highly academic and focuses on realism. Following in my mother’s footsteps, I achieved A*s in Sculpture, Drawing, and Composition (on paper and in sculpture). I also got a B in Painting (this I was not happy about, but I have improved since then). I’ve tutored children and their parents in art, finding that I thoroughly enjoy it. Any level is fine with me; I’ll happily help you start and improve. Language is an incredibly powerful tool. I love poetry and read or listen to fiction all the time. I’ve recently tried my hand at poetry, playing with words, themes, and all kinds of literary devices. Only 5 poems so far, but planning on more. Writing is a passion of mine, and I’m eager to help people with editing, proofreading, and enhancing their writing skills, regardless of their level. Another skill I pride myself on is creating personalised plans for any action. If you’re swamped and overwhelmed with any or all aspects of life, I can sit down with you and make a detailed plan of how to deal with everything, one little step at a time. All the things you think about and procrastinate on - studies, work, health, applying for jobs, developing new skills, even daily chores - I can help you start and keep going. I’m very kind and wholly supportive, so I can be your personal assistant and create what I call “instructions for life”, taking all your priorities into account. Hope to connect with you! less
