We need to do a relatively simple website for a master class portrait painter.
To give some background, the artist is a former long time professor of fine art with a specialty in portraiture. Previous portraits include government heads, key figures in industry, royalty. Very well established with a long history of work.
Website Goals:
- To showcase existing portraits with an ability to easily add future photos of work.
- To provide a point of contact for interested parties seeking portraiture
- An "About the Artist" section detailing background etc.
- An ability to update with latest news and modify content accordingly.
- This website will effectively be a resume piece for the artist.
Key Requirements:
- A very clean, classical and stylish graphic presentation suitable for the type of work (portraiture). Extremely important that it is graphically effective.
- Expression engine or wordpress preferred for the ability to update content.
- browser compatible please.
- SEO but this can come later.
The live website would most likely consist of the following basic templates
- Home page with news updates, and links to other sections
- Gallery with thumbnails and ability to view full size images
- About the artist page
- Contact methods (email query).
Important:
As the nature of the work is artistic, it is extremely important as noted above, that the website is graphically effective.
- The first step will be a concept of the home page - paid of course.
- From there the rest of the site will be built.
- We will not be moving forward with anyone that does not have some effective graphic designs in their portfolio.
What we will require:
- Any graphics/templates/code required to construct the website on our own servers.
- Design credits for you are fine in the footer of each page.
