Media Player with Control for prototype

I require someone to build a media player that will act as in instructional device with a built in screen. therefore a medium range resolution would be ok allowing human characters to be distinguishable.
The device will have a build in speaker.
Manufacturing cost is to be kept minimal. Therefore someone who resides in china and can source a cheap credit card sized LCD screens (b&w or colour, cost is very important) would be ideal.
The device will have 5 menu buttons left-right-up-down, and would work somewhat like the ipod menu.
These menu items would load preset videos+audio+subtitle (srt format) that will play in sequence , controlled by the user via a handheld control.
The handheld control will have a jack to plug earphones in.
Cost is a huge concern so all components, must be easily/cheaply sourceable from china.
The device should be powered by adaptor, and batteries, not made to be portable but to be kept in a static position,
