I'm doing a multi-objective optimization of a seagoing Barge using the software HyperWorks. Namely, HyperMesh and HyperStudy. The HyperMesh model has been created and meshed. A capable person is required to carry on the optimization in HyperStudy.

Objective: Increase load the barge can carry(payload) and minimize structural weight

Constraints: Adhere to stress requirements for material, upright stability (eg Metacentric Height > [url removed, login to view]) and keeping within acceptable seakeeping (heave, pitch and roll) motion ranges.

The variable would be dimensions, ranges of which I can provide. In summary, HyperWorks should be used to change length, depth and width of the barge while satisfying the above criteria. In the end, the Pareto front curves is required to study the trade-offs.

The Genetic Algorithm search method has to be used in Hyperstudy to solve the optimization problem.
