This project is for a professionally designed logo, being commissioned by a firm that strongly promotes and supports locally owned businesses.
What is required is a logo for use across all marketing communications material - on and offline. The logo is to represent a Local Business Emblem or LBE for short, and will initially be displayed in store fronts, at points-of-sale, on websites and on letterheads / stationary.
The logo needs to project an upmarket, professional image and must include the lettering LBE and the wording Locally Owned.
It is crucial that businesses will view the LBE as a value adding image / brand. Hence, the logo must be very visible, memorable and reflect pride in supporting local business. The main focus is on quality and high-end appeal.
Two versions of the logo is to be provided with a level of detail on the logo / emblem for a size of approx. 200mm dia. or 200mm sq. and a smaller version being of an appropriate size for letterheads & business cards.
4 mock designs for larger logo are required and 1 will be approved to move to the final design stage; the smaller version is to be based on the selected design requiring 3 mock ups of the smaller version. The final designs are to be submitted and revisions may be required and should be allowed for prior to final design acceptance.
Final design files are to be in vector format .eps including 3, 2 & 1 spot colour and black & white versions of the logo.
All usage rights will be fully owned by me, accompanied by appropriate contracts and the logos must be successfully trademarked with the Intellectual Property Office (UK) before the project is deemed complete. Cost of trademark not to be included in this tender.
Please send preliminary thoughts of the proposed logo, a portfolio and detail of relevant experience with this bid. Although this is one project, if the successful designer is found to deliver a professional quality product in a timely fashion then they will take preference in future work.

It would be helpful if at least six samples of previous logo designs could accompany all bids.
