We’re looking for a Windows Phone 8 application with a few buttons and file access capabilities that can call functions or methods from a native static or dynamic library. We already have such an application for iPhone. Files showing screen shots from our iPhone application have been added to this project description and we can even supply the source code of that iPhone application. Basically the application allows the user to select an audio file and then sends its filename, including path, to our audio compression engine (native code) along with the user selected format and output filename. It also lets the user select an encoded file and then send it to our decompression engine. The user is able to setup two compression parameters; MODE from 0 to 7 and VAD 0 or 1. You will be responsible to create the application and the native library shell. We will supply you with the source code for the native library but without the compression engine. We will take care of filling up the functions with our encoder/decoder code once we have your application on hand. The screens do not have to be exactly the same but of course they have to look good. We have posted an identical project for the BlackBerry 10 platform.

Main Screen:

- Company name info, logo and product info

- ENCODE button (enter the Encoder screen)

- DECODE button (enter the Decoder screen)

The ENCODE screen

- Encode info on top of screen

- “Browse” button (enter the music directory bowser screen and displays the .wav files)

- “Enter output file name” field (character input, default is [url removed, login to view])

- “Encoding MODE” buttons (0 to 7)

- “DTX” setting buttons (on or off)

- “Run encoder” button (calls the encode function of the native lib with the selected parameters)

The DECODE screen

- Decode info on top of screen

- “Browse” button (enter the music directory bowser screen and displays the .amr files)

- “Enter output file name” field (character input, default is [url removed, login to view])

- “Run decoder” button (calls the decode function of the native lib with the selected parameters)

The application also has to:

- call an initialization function from the native library before it displays the main screen

- display a message when encoding or decoding is done (return from the native encode or decode function).

- send the wav file to the media player if requested by the user after a file is decoded.

- display “processing” while encoding or decoding is taking place.

- Have a “back” button on every screen.

- work on Windows Phone 8 emulators and devices.
