I am starting a pilot project for Arabic reading. I need a native Arabic speaker to record sentences written in modern standard arabic. The speaker must have clear voice and good pronunciation and be able to read MSA with correct pronunciation (no J as G) and 'irab. I am willing to pay you to purchase a suitable microphone if you do not have one. I am not looking for professional voice talent and you dont need a studio just a microphone, a computer and some recording software. You will using the Audacity software which is pretty easy to use if you are not familiar with it. You will be reading sentences from a source, most likely a PDF novel. Eventually I will need to separate the audio into individual sentences so you will be leaving a pause between each sentence to enable me to splice the audio and process it. At this time the project is designed to be a long term one as long as I can stay under budget hence my reason for not using professional voice talent. In your bid I need two things, one is how many sentences you can read/deliver a week or a month. The second is how much you would charge for said amount of sentences. I have not done this kind of work before so it is difficult for me to estimate how much time is involved in the recording of these sentences so that will be left for you to estimate before making your bid. It is important that you have a good idea of how much time it will take you to produce the said amount of sentences so you dont end up bidding too low or not being able to deliver on time. As the project is currently open ended it is important that you are able to deliver promptly the amount of sentences you contract to deliver. I must state ahead of time that once we contract for the project it will take about a month for the project to get off the ground as it will take that amount of time to get the materials together. I must first ensure that I can get the project done under budget before investing in the materials. I must also state that depending on the pace and price of the bid I may eventually contract more than one person to ensure adequate volume of sentences per week.
