Project Description

This is a task that can be accomplished in less than a hour if you know computed field module of drupal!

I would pay 150$ for the task!

The task seems rather easy because most of the necessary features are already provided:

What you will need is

* knowledge about Drupal API

* and experience with the "computed field module".... (If you don't know the module you probably don't need to continue reading this).

What we currently have:

There is a Drupal installation with a content type that gets the values from another web page. This is needed for 8 - 10 fields of the content type. So what happens is, that basically HTML from the other web page is parsed and used as value for the node fields of the content type. So, the fields of the content type are being created using PHP.....

Note: The PHP code for getting the field values content is ALREADY WRITTEN AND WORKS fine. (Viewing the node shows the values. A view based on the nodes does not show them).

The (known) Problem is, that those dynamically created fields do not show up when you create views....

As far as I understood, there is a module called "computed field" (and "computed field tools") that makes the following:

It takes care, that the calculated value is stored in the database instead of storing the PHP in the database. So when the node is called (or a view, it uses the static database content as usual instead of recalculation the values with PHP to runtime) Since the value in the database is a "normal value" then, it also works for views based on the content type (nodes)....
