I need to create a database which establishes relationships between subsidiaries of companies.
The user needs to have two options when accessing the database. (via some kind of aestheticly pleasing graphical user interace)
1. "Is a company in the database, if so, who is its parent"
2. "Is X company related to Y?" (same parent company)
In both cases, there needs to be an ability to print confirmation into a standard template form which I would create (eg. (Apple Music Services LLC is a subsidiary of Apple Computer, Inc.). In the second, if a relationship existed it would print a confirmation (Apple Music Services LLC and Apple Corporate Services Co. are related). In both cases, if there is no record or no relationship, the user will not be allowed to print, and will be given a message (not a pop-up) telling them to Call Credit.
Last but not least, I would like the ability for the user to enter the first few letters, and select from a group of companies. (eg. typing in "App" would pull both Apple Music Services LLC and Apple Corporate Services Co.) in both of the above examples.
This all needs to be able to work with the Access 2000 runtime. As of now, my structure looks like this: two tables companies -companyname -companyid subs -subname -subid -companyid there is a relationship established between the two via company id Also, I need to make sure there are two types of users. One that can add companies to the database, and another that can make no changes to the database
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
