OPTION 1 - Developing whiteboard system from the scratch
I'm looking to create a online tutoring website with a full service virtual classroom with the same or similar whiteboard features as WiqIQ or groupboard. The online tutoring platform should have audio and video conferencing capabilities, whiteboard, Mathtype or equation editor or latex functionality just like the Groupboard software for math tutoring services.
Other Online tutoring website capabilities:
1. Website or online tutoring system should have scheduling wizard or scheduling capabilities just like WizIQ to enable to tutors to schedule live tutoring sessions with students and extend tutoring sessions, if needed.
2. Tutors & students should be able to log into the online tutoring website to sign up and create an account.
3. All tutor recruitment will be done through Facebook connect. See the website for more info: [login to view URL]
4. Website will have tutor profiles and bios so that students can browse and search for tutors to want
5. How students will be assigned to Tutors?
There are two ways that tutors can be assigned new students to work with:
[login to view URL] messages from students: Students will be able to see tutor profiles on the website website and send them instant messages via live chat. If the tutor online on Facebook or Gchat, we'll send the tutor a chat message to let the tutor know about the student who needs help. Otherwise, the tutor will be notified via email. Or student will be able to communicate with the student via online chat on the website and easily set up times to meet.
[login to view URL] lesson requests: When a student requests an immediate lesson, we will send Facebook and Gchat messages to a handful of tutors who are online. If a tutor receive one of these messages and are available to tutor, quickly click the link to accept the lesson.
3. Students should be able to rate tutors at the end of each tutoring session on the online tutoring website.
6. I would like to have some kind of chat system on the website. So that student can read tutor profiles on the website and contact them directly via online chat. I don't know if the facebook chat or Gchat system can be linked to the website.
OPTION 2 - Customizing an already existeing whiteboard system into a full scale online tutoring website
1. Customize the group world system (I will purchase the enterprise lincence) see website: [login to view URL]
