I need help figuring out date field in the attached .dat file. The file contains information on some persons with their dob. For convience, we have created some sample persons with the last name patient and first name trial1, trial2 etc... followed by their actual dob. We need to find this value in the data which follows the names. The data has used ascii based primary key so we are thinking that somehow the date is converted into ascii values and somehow stored in the database. Once completed you have to show me how to do this or explain the logic to me.

Thanks Mike

GOOD LUCK!!!

note because of year 2000 issue the system stored the date as:

mm/dd/yycc example 01221901 = 01220119
