I need an app that reads data [BizName,BizAddress, BizPhone, BizDescription] from text files, makes a query to Postgresql db table [BizPig] columns [BizName, BizAddress]. if the result is null then add new data to db. Else update db with BizPhone & BizDescription. code needs to work on Postgresql db on a windows 2003 Server.
The text files have comma delimted and fixed columns that have "BizName", "BizAddress", "BizPhone", "BizDescription" that need to be loaded into a PostGREsql database.
The db has the same column names.
I am new to both Phython and PostGreSQl, so I will need a team viewer session to install and run the test app.
I can fine tune the column types and lengths myself after the app is running on my server.
