I have a high performance server, with Cpanel and LiteSpeed Enterprise serving a single website. The problem is, the website isn't performing to my expectations. The server has a 700gb drive and is a quad core intel with 8gb of RAM. The server's OS is CentOS x64. The website is Joomla Based.
Applicant will be a:
LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) Expert
Joomla Expert
Litespeed Expert
DNS Expert
The successful bidder will:
-use whatever is necessary to troubleshoot.
-first perform benchmark tests for apache, (apachebench also works with litespeed as far as I'm aware) mysql, and whatever else, to be compared to benchmark test done after the tweaking and optimizations to prove the optimizations/tweaking helped.
-analyze what's slowing down the site
-suggest their optimization ideas before applying.
-apply their optimizations/tweaks and fixes to the server/mysql/litespeed/joomla/components/extensions/ AFTER making backups of the files they are going to change.
-ensure their changes don't break existing functionality.
-maintain a record of changes they performed to be given when the project is complete.
I suspect this is mainly a matter of optimizing and adjusting config files. I would guess $30/hr is fair, and a max of $250 would give around 8 hours to work on this.
