Help complete my basic code

I am in the process of building a proof of concept for my boss. I have been working on the bits of code that I see as necessary for the initial part of the project. I am not a programmer but can and do understand at a basic level. I usually adapt, combine, alter and probably break pieces of code that I find to accomplish what I need.

For this proof of concept for my boss, I have assembled the initial bits but need some assistance on getting some of them integrated into something presentable and functional. At its most basic, it is an autocomplete address lookup using Google’s map API, a postal service API lookup to retrieve the 9 digit Zip code for the autocomplete address, and a tax lookup API to retrieve the tax rate for that specific 9 digit zip code. Once the address is complete, the 9 digit zip code set and the tax rate retrieved, that information needs to be written to a mysql database.

As it is now, I have a page with the address autocomplete functional, I can write the address to the mysql database and retrieve the same. I have built the proper XML query to send to the post office API and have been able to parse the XML results. I have built the json query for the revenue service API and do get the json result string.

I need some help putting the pieces together. I would like the first page with the address to refresh (AJAX??) to run my php script to update the 5 digit zip into the 9 digit zip. Once the 9 digit zip is returned, run my script to retrieve the sales tax rate for that 9 digit zip code.

I will upload code and can show what I have so far if you have an interest.

This is just a proof of concept and NOT a finished product. I am not concerned about rough edges. If the concept is successful it will become a bigger project. I would like to find someone to work with, longer term.
