My business case already developed and i want to write case to explain what is the current situation in my organization before adopting self-service tool and what is going to change after enabling it (by steps)
-first of all my organization is very huge one. Ministry of Culture, it has 16 sectors under 11 commission. There is no data warehouse or data mart to get data from. We need to build and enable a Data mart call single point for truth (SPT) centralized in the Ministry and service its departments and 11 commissions under. Then we can submit or send requested data by excel to all departments.
-keep in mind to write all the steps from how to deal with big data and building the team, all needed restructuring in IT or other departments. Data governance and data strategy. Appoint a Vocal point from each department and commission, etc
- each department or commission has there own database, where it’s not connected. That leads to extra effort and redundancy in work, and also not receiving the correct/updated data.
- We think about new tool using by our company micro-strategy and enable Self-service. We might faced resistance from our departments users to used this tool. We have to do many training sessions for all departments and commissions under our organization . From this tool can user generate his needed report with 5 minutes than previous way taking many days to submit a reports.
-what is the Competitive Advantages of adapting business Intelligence Self-Service Analytics (BISS) for Non-Technical Users in our organization. Specifically for governance sector (Ministry of Culture)
-the benefit of using business analytics in the company.
- how to solve risks like data quality (by build a health index data quality….). This support us to enhance trust of the data with our business
- Another risk on how to governance data. change culture of business to know how they request and governance data for all company.
- More enhancements came by enable analytics and business kpi dictionary for self-service
Basically we want to show the benefit of using business analytics tool in the Ministry , the steps to adapt a new technology/tool under a huge organization as Ministry of Culture
