e-commer web site

We need a website designed for start-up business.

We are looking for a great honest and economical web-site designer for a start-up company. We are starting a consumer service "e-commerce" company and have been led down the wrong path a few times. The web-site and particularly the landing page are very crucial to our success.

We are open to a variety of solutions However it has been sugested that we should develop on a Microsoft Platform, using Windows 2005 Server as the operating system, HTML/CSS/ASP.NET as the middleware layer, and Microsoft SQL Sever as the database backend system. and would prefer a content management system so that we can manipulate minor changes to the site ourselves.

Please be detailed. Include if any software or service options are appropriate(x-cart,volusion,ect.)

Our business is as follows:

It is convenient self storage for consumers only needing to store a single box of belongings or a few boxes of belongings. They do not need to rent and entire Self Storage Unit.

The customer boxes up their items to be stored at their home or office.

They contact our company via our web site and log in:

They will estimate the size of their boxes and their weight. (Small, Medium, Large, Extra-Large)

They choose a storage term, under 6 months (Month to month), 6 months minimum, 12 months minimum, or over 24 months and we quote them a monthly rental rate for their box. they are billed for storage on a monthly basis.

They can choose to buy insurance for their box and pay an additional fee to have the boxes picked up by the shipper (UPS, Fed Ex, USPS,DHL) at their home or business.

They sign a contract and use a Credit Card, Debit Card or Pay Pal to pay for the service.

They are billed for storage on a monthly basis and can receive a discount for paying their entire bill up-front.

They print out a shipping label based on a survey of the best shipping rates from their location to our warehouse. (Fedex,DHL,UPS,USPS)

They send their items to the company via that shippers driver coming to their home or by going to the shippers retail location.

We receive the items in the warehouse and assign a bar code

We inventory the boxes in a warehouse in the Mid-West United States.

When the customer wants the items returned they simply log on to our web-site and request the items be returned.

This is a brand-new site. It should be very professional and consumer friendly. I have much of the the copy-writing for the site done as well as some photos and a logo. It needs to be very simple and easy to use. I would like my website to be very searchable (best SEO practices) We would also like an affiliate program for selling our service. Again be detailed about your plan for this web-site.
