SketchUp Iso Robot Arm and Game Board with Blocks

The attached screenshot shows what is required. I need a 3D model created using Google SketchUp. Once completed, I must be able to load the 3D model onto my PC computer.
If you look at the picture, you will see its drawn in isometric view. There are two parts to the 3D model (must be part of same model file). These are the robot arm and the game board .The picture is not accurate. Please make sure that you draw the robot arm only using straight edges (no circles or curves). Picture on left is wrong – picture on right is better.
Also please think about size of robot arm. It needs to be correct size so that it can reach the end of the board and pickup blocks (if it was real). Board must contain shapes. You can choose the shapes you put on the board. Please choose different sizes of shapes and different colors. Also please make the board look nicer.
IMPORTANT: The screenshot I've attached is just to give idea of concept I want to achieve. Please improve this concept to produce a professional 3D model. Would be nice if board has some depth (like on right image). Maybe chess board style board black and white would look better? Up to you!
