Javascript cookie add to div area and change images scripts

We need to be able to populate a div with items on a page that are dynamically being pulled from a database and listed onto a page. We can add code to them to have an "onclick" foreach item that is displayed and we can add the script onto the page in our backend so that it will take the onclick and put it into a div.
The script should show inside the div, the items selected by the user, and it remains there when the page refreshes with new items to choose.
Then it will allow them to save those items (to a cookie) and have a link to retrieve that cookie. They should be allowed to save several cookies and list them. After that they can "add to cart" any group of items saved in the cookies. We have a way of integrating a cookie into our shopping cart, so it should be pretty simple action but you need to be able to cooperate with us to name the cookie and coding.
Finally we need to be able to change the div frame according to several different image borders.
