O V E R V I E W

I have a server running Windows Server 2008 R2.

On this server there is an installation of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 that is partially working. This installation was done a few years ago (it was fully working, but as we stopped using SQL we deactivated the services manually. Now, when trying to reactivate the services again, some services did not go up).

This job consists of:

a) Review the installation of SQL SERVER 2008 (maybe repair the installation, maybe reinstall, maybe install some service pack) and make SQL SERVER 2008 fully operational again, running on the server.

b) Create a simple database in SQL (sample database)

c) Allow this sample database to be accessed remotely by a computer on the Internet using Microsoft Access

Attention, this is NOT A JOB FOR USER LEVEL in Microsoft SQL SERVER and Windows SERVER 2008 R2, if you aren´t an EXPERT, IF YOU DON´T HAVE ADVANCED LEVEL, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.
