we have tried all the main software that handles stock purchasing, inventory and order dispatching (openerp, peoplevox,linnworks, netsuite, etc....) but now we are looking for a bespoke solution........ we have noticed a php system written on codeigniter and it already has 50% of these features or you may want to start your own system and keep everything in zend

expected data:
1000 supplier records
10 purchase orders per day and each with upto 50 product SKU and max qnty of product per SKU is 10000 units
1,000,000 product sku records
1,000,000 customer records
1000 sales orders per day and each with upto 20 product SKU and max qnty of product per SKU is 100 units
database to manage:
suppliers
products (from magento api)
warehouse locations
customers (from magento api)
customer orders (from magento api)
inventory stock
backend to allow config of users, magento, etc
front end main functions :
-pick
screen shows orders from magento in ready status / other status's can be viewed
print picking labels with customer/stock/location information
confirm pick
reverse orders with ready status if stock is missing from bin location
-despatch
print shipping label
update magento api
-move
enter product sku
view bin locations with qty or sku
edit qty and enter new bin location
-stock take
enter bin location
show product records for the location and expected qty
edit qty
-receive
show purchase orders that are not completed
search for a purchase order number
search for a sales order number
update sales order with items returned as good or faulty and allow re-shipping to customer
update purchase order with recieved items and complete if all items have arrived from supplier
allow for sku changes from the supplier (123123 is ordered but they deliver 123124 as it has changed)
prompt the user to photograph items arriving without maginto images
prompt the user to weight items with empty weight value
print product label for all items recieved with barcode of magento SKU on the label
use usb barcode scanner to enter the item code (can be magento sku / ean / supplier sku)

search product by magento sku, EAN, supplier, supplier sku, name
filter results by grid view of items
view product and edit some information from magento with extra data to be added
edit image and add from locally connected camera
view locations containing this product
view supplier purchase order history of this product
view customer order history of this product
view stock count for - on hand / incoming / outgoing / free stock

show all sales orders and information about the order status for each product in the order (allocated or awaiting delivery)
drill down into product details
drill down into purchase order information and expected delivery date
un-allocate an item from order to allow reallocation to other order
edit product lines to allow for manipulation of order and final items to be shipped to customer
edit customer shipping address
-purchases
show items that need to be ordered (stock shortfall )
filter by supplier assigned to product
allow stock shortfall items to be added to a new purchase order using checkbox selection from filtered grid
create purchase orders and save as pdf for emailing to supplier or printing
update each purchase order line with expected cost and eta
-locations
create a hierarchy of locations starting with site->building->area/zone->row/rack->bay->shelf->bin
allow for quick location setup suggesting bin locations based on user input of number of shelves and bins for each shelf
enter location code and view stock expected from that location
