I am currently working on deploying a Node.js web application on our Hostinger shared hosting account, and I could use your expertise to ensure a smooth deployment process.
As you may know, Hostinger primarily supports PHP-based applications on their shared hosting, but it is possible to run Node.js applications with a workaround. Here's a brief overview of what I've done so far:
I have verified that our hosting plan includes SSH access, which is essential for running Node.js applications.
I have set up SSH access and successfully connected to our hosting account.
Node.js and npm have been installed within my account using nvm (Node Version Manager).
I've uploaded the Node.js application files to the hosting account, and the application is ready for deployment.
However, I am facing some challenges when it comes to configuring the server, handling ports, and configuring domains. Here are the specific areas where I could use your assistance:
Configuring the server to proxy requests to the Node.js application.
Handling port configurations to ensure that the Node.js app runs smoothly alongside our hosting server.
Setting up a custom domain to point to the Node.js application.
