I need a SIMPLE prototype/PROOF OF CONCEPT of a first person shooter game in JAVA that allows the user to pick up an object, use the object on one character. However, I'd like the JAVA engine to simple read files containing the information -- like DXF, JPG, Etc. I see these external files as XML like. Using LWJGL ([url removed, login to view]) or another open source JAVA game engine, I need a small application that loads games through external files (like characters, path, functions, etc). The gameplay should be similar to DOOM or IMMUNEATTACK ([url removed, login to view]) where the first person character must collect an object , use the object on another character (i.e. shoot the character with the object). For this stage of the project I simply need a proof of concept application that I can further develop, finalized and expanded under future contracts. This is the first stage of a larger project. Some common answers... - Will this game feature a player inventory (rpg style game) or just a small predefined list of objects (shotgun, pistol, rocket launcher) and ammo for each one. JUST PREDEFINED LIST OF OBJECTS - Is this a multiplayer game ? NO - Is this a first person game only, or will it also feature the ability to view your avatar from other perspectives. ## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
