Hi, I have a data extraction program that collects book price data from www.half.com. Half has just yesterday updated their site. They made some changes to the page layout, so the program is no longer able to extract the price data properly. So I will need a programmer to update the extraction code to work with the new page layout. The program searches the site by book ISBN number, and is only set up to extract 4 fields from the site. Only the price data field is necessary for it to work normally, so it should not be very difficult to fix. The program is written in visual basic. I am unable to give a complete description of the program or post all of the source code in this open bid request, but the coder chosen will be provided with the full source code, and I have attached a sample of the source code to this bid request. This is a standard Windows desktop extraction program. This project is also time-sensitive, since I need this program running again as soon as possible. Thanks. S.Z.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
