Custom fields and taxonomies on wordpress site

We need custom fields for subtitle (text area) in posts which should show on frontpage only, and the ability to have articles with a different title on frontpage than inside posts.
Our site consists of 3 different, but related sports. We need a system where we can easily mark an article, video and/or picture with name of athlete, name of photographer, name of filmer, sports brand, name of sporting event, location and location type, sports tricks appearing in that post with either Sport A, Sport B or Sport C so that all this information can be extracted and presented on their own pages, e.g. as a page extraction of all athletes belonging to sport A with all videos, articles and pictures marked with their name, or e.g. a trick list extracted from sport B. All of the taxonomies should have their own automated presentation page under Sport A, Sport B and Sport C.
Both custom fields and taxonomies should be SEO friendly and searchable.
We have fooled around with Advanced Custom Fields and Custom Post Type UI, but we are not able to figure out how to set up the system the best way.
