Fix Joomla 3.0 menu or module issue, possible javascript conflict

I have a joomla 3.0 site, that I have a "custom html" module on the home page to have some css to display some images, but it seems to possibly have overwritten the menu javascript, or there is a conflict in js. Because now, the menu no longer works.
However, if I turn off the "custom html" module on the homepage, the menu will work. It's only when the module is on, that the menu doesn't work.
