Notes on Topic:
1. The Citroen case was a criminal prosecution under competition legislation taken by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) after an investigation and referral by the Competition Authority (subsequently renamed the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission in October 2014).
2. The High Court judgment in the Citroen cartel case with respect to an individual involved in the cartel, Patrick Duffy, and his eponymous firm, Duffy Motors (Newbridge) Limited, DPP – v- Duffy & anor [IHEC] 208, sets out the details of the case. 3. Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (formerly the Competition Authority) annual reports provide some further details as do various letter/reports by law firms and published papers in law and competition journals.
