I am looking for a developer to create a Ping Pong scorekeeping program that will run on Windows. The program should have the following features:
- Simple score tracking capabilities
- The ability to connect to wireless buttons using WiFi technology
We are seeking a skilled and experienced contractor to develop a Windows application that will serve as a scorekeeper for a ping pong game. The application will run on a Windows computer connected to a display, which will visually display the score. The primary function of the application will be to track and update the score based on inputs from two WiFi buttons, one for each player.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a Windows application that runs seamlessly on a Windows computer.
- Connect the application to two WiFi buttons, one for player 1 and one for player 2.
- Implement functionality that adds a point to the respective player's score when their corresponding button is pressed.
- Ensure the application is intelligent enough to understand the scoring rules of a ping pong game and accurately keep track of the score.
- Create a reset method that allows the score to be reset when a winner is determined by the score program.
- Find a wifi button that will work with the program that's easy to connect to the software. The wifi button will be mounted to the bottom of the ping pong table on each side.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in developing Windows applications.
- Strong knowledge of WiFi connectivity and integration.
- Experience with scorekeeping applications and/or game development is preferred.
- Familiarity with ping pong scoring rules and conventions is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to create a user-friendly interface.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the project team.
Timeline and Compensation:
- The estimated timeline for completing the project is 2-3 days.
- Compensation will be discussed and agreed upon based on the contractor's experience and the complexity of the project.
