Translate and proof read recipes for food blog into perfect US standard
$30-250 USD
Paid on delivery
I need a freelancer who can translate and proof read recipes from a Danish food blog into perfect US-Standard with exact measurement conversion it has to be 100% flawless and fluent! “Google translate” does a pretty good job on most of the recipes, but to make everything perfect, the conversion of the measurements and the US language must be flawless.
It is not a requirement that you know the Danish language because of Google translate. It really does a surprisingly good job.
We do not need the actual blog text translated, but ONLY the recipes.
The freelancer must have knowledge of US cooking and measurement standards and be 100% fluent in English language in writing.
To begin with I would like to start with 1 test recipe, and if it goes well, then I have at least another 40-50 I need translated. And possibly more in the future.
All recipes come from [login to view URL] - please keep in mind that it is ONLY the recipes from 40-50 selected blog posts and NOT the actual blog posts we need translated.
The steps of the job are these:
1) Copy / Paste original Danish recipe into Google translate.
2) Proof read and translate errors or mistakes.
3) Quality Check all measurements so that they are 100 correct according to US standards.
4) Quality Check everything again
5) Upload the translated recipe onto our Word press blog as a draft blog post.
Please have a look at this example recipe which we pulled through google translate:
Ingredienser (2 frokostportioner)
2 æg
2 spsk. mayonaise
1 spsk. græsk yoghurt 2 %
1 tsk. karry
1 forårsløg
Salt og frisk kværnet peber
Sennepsspirer
Tilberedning
Kog æggene og lad dem køle af. Bland mayonaise, græsk yoghurt og karry godt sammen. Bland fint hakkede forårsløg i og smag til med salt og frisk kværnet peber. Skær æggene i små stykker og bland dem forsigtigt sammen med karrydressingen. Pynt med sennepspirer ved servering.
VS GOOGLE TRANSLATE:
Ingredients (2 lunch servings)
2 eggs
2 tbsp. mayonaise
1 Tbsp. Greek yogurt 2%
1 tsp. curry
1 scallion
Salt and freshly ground pepper
Mustard Sprouts
Cooking
Boil the eggs and let them cool. Mix mayonnaise, Greek yogurt and curry well. Mix the finely chopped spring onions and season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Cut the eggs into small pieces and mix them gently with curry dressing. Garnish with mustard
sprouts before serving.
Here’s the basic conversations:
1 tsk = teaspoon = tsp
1 spsk = Tablespoon = Tbsp
1 dl. = 1 deciliter = 0.10 litres = 0.42 US cups
Please use these convertion ressources for the translation when in doubt.
