Japanese Financial Translator/Linguist Needed

You will be working at one of the world’s most prestigious technology companies, the name of which we need to keep confidential for now, where you’ll help improve a virtual assistant software used by millions of users. You will be a part of a dynamic team that's responsible for natural language processing tasks including translation, grammar development, language modeling, and tools development. The project will last until the end of the year, with the possibility of it being extended.

Position responsibilities:

Translate and proofread financial content from English to Japanese.

Ensure translated documents mirror the original source document.

Efficiently maintain formal disciplined operational procedures.

Track project-specific non-conformance and resolutions.

Personally perform project QA steps.

Job requirements

Strong preference for some focus or experience in translation, natural language processing, machine learning or related sub-fields.

Native speaker fluency in Japanese.

Knowledge in regular expressions or coding syntax.

Availability to dedicate 40 hours weekly to this task.

Work with minimal supervision, proactive, and self-motivated for timely delivery of quality code.

Demonstrated creative, critical thinking capabilities and troubleshooting skills.

Clear and compelling communication skills.

User-driven focus.

Excellent level of English.

B.S/MSc in Computer Science, Translation, Linguistics or related field.

Proven track record in delivering product-quality code.
