Development of VR Simulation for Sugarcane Harvester

§Development of VR Simulation (2 Models with simple changes) With VR Headsets

§VR Simulation experience for the Trainees with the same display on the screen for trainer/audience.

§This will be placed in a simulator room with 3-4 stations (Multiple copies of the same software to be installed in all VR headsets).

Broad Requirements:

§Machine Walk around

§All Features and Benefits explained in Tutor mode.

§Operation of a machine in On-road conditions.

§Operation of machine in Off-road/Field conditions.

§Simulate the field for various conditions of height/density/lodged conditions

§Various field operation of machine for the Entering in field/turning/headline bunds

§Close to real life harvesting experience for the operator

§Machine functions with various controls usage, maintenance, harvesting of crop

§Operations must include the crop billets in the infielder.

§Maintenance tutor mode and exercises for the practice.

§Practice and test exercises to be included for major operations (Approx 15 Nos).

§Evaluation of performance - Capturing the skill matrix of Operators and to plan for improvements.

Detailed requirements:

§Machine Walk around – This session will have a VR simulation explaining various components, usage of machine and basic precautions to be done before getting into machine (only VR – Tutor Mode)

§FAB – This session will explain about the various features of the machine, their utility, and their benefits in detail. (only VR – Tutor Mode)

§Operation of machine in On-road conditions – This session will include the operation practices in On-road conditions. Correct and safe operations and their probable failure reasons to be explained here. (VR – Tutor Mode and Practice Session)

§Operation of machine in Off-road/Field conditions – This session will include the operation practices in off-road or Field conditions. Correct and safe operations and their probable failure reasons to be explained here. Simulate the SCH field for various conditions of height/density/lodged conditions (VR – Tutor Mode and Practice Session)

§Various field operation of machine for the Entering in field/turning / headline bunds (VR – Tutor Mode+Practice Session)

§Machine functions with various controls usage, harvesting of crop (VR – Tutor Mode+Practice Session)

§Operations must include the crop billets in the infielder. (VR – Tutor+Practice)

§Maintenance tutor mode and exercises for the practice. (VR – Tutor+Practice)

§Practice and test exercises to be included for major operations (Predefined 15 Nos with option to set/alter parameters). (Practice and Evaluation Mode)

§Evaluation of performance - Capturing the skill matrix of Operators and to plan for improvements. Each Trainee will be recorded in system and his scoring on various parameters will be done. Based on that the certifications and areas of improvement will be done for that operator. (Evaluation Mode)

Modes Required:

Each training scenario registered in the software will following modes:

§Tutor mode - In tutor mode, textual indications of the step to be performed and visual cues with arrows and indications of what the trainee needs to do to be presented.

§Practice Mode – Errors done by operator will be flashed to him in textual or symbol form. Set timelines would be there.

§Evaluation mode – No tips/cues to operator. Trainer should be able to include or exclude evaluation exercises based on training requirements.

§Records – All the sessions attended and attempted by the trainee will be recorded with required parameters for analysis, scoring and identification of improvement areas. Session by Session % improvement of participant and declare results after Max 3 or 4 (predefined) sessions.

§Reports – Should be able to get some reports on the qualitative and Quantitative measurables to plan for future enhancements and MIS purposes.

Others:

§Support on some iterations/modifications for a period of say 1 Year.

§Hardware will be HTC Vive Pro 2 kit
