It is a site dedicated to surfing, travel and tourism around and in Sydney.
I have only just started developing it.
Listed with Google last week, I have had 15 visitors, and I am writing further content for the site.
I hope to make some money from the site through -
advertising - adwords and PPC, and
maybe to create a directory of business around Sydney.
I don't want to work too hard on selling the directory, so auto-populating pages with some google links is all I want here -
Maybe develop some e-commerce pages later
I have signed to Adwords, 2 affiliate marketing accounts for travel and vehicle hire, and commission junction, so I can start to place ads on the site.
Problems -
The site looks bad, needs good design to suit the purpose - get some ad responses. attract visitors,
I would like to implement some advertising, this will need formatting on the home page and other pages
I have an ebay business partner account, I can list eBay items (using a plugin I think), I have not done this as it may look ugly
Confirm SEO is good
I would like the directory to be available on a separate page, with a good link on the home page.
My main problem is I cannot code the design for banners and ads, I tried to insert the booking form for vehicles, it did not format cleanly on the page.
In summary, I would like to make this an attractive site, with some ads and Adsense, of interest to tourists and Sydney visitors, as a directory of useful articles and travel, surfing, car and hotel directory services. Easy to run.
Perhaps this is too much for a small website with 20 visitors ) ???
I am really after some skill with website presentation, to improve the look, feel and navigability of the site... I want to stay with Wordpress as I know it to some degree.
If you feel you can help achieve these aims, please let me know. If you don't know or understand the word 'navigability', this job may not be for you.
