Date search for gravity forms

Right now, the date search is always showing the current date by default.
Tasked to be done
1) when i search for a date for example 26th to 28th on entries, i want it to stay on the search date instead of showing the current date. For example if today is 1st December, I want it to stay on 26th to 28th instead of showing 1st december after search.
2) for gravity form entries, i want the entries to be sorted according to the date that I submitted the form.
