Contest Brief

The band is called "The Hot Cats" (juxtaposition to the "hot dogs"). A cat is a very rockabilly animal, the term "Cat" was used by original jazz players to refer to themselves. Rockabilly is a very fast, dance version of blues and country, made popular in 1950s by the likes of Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash.

A great logo will have a contemporary yet retro look and feel, have a reference/hint to the cat as an animal, and be great not just for the website and posters but for band merch, e.g it will look cool on a T-Shirt.
